Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Islamic Ummah app, website, and related services. Please read them carefully before using the service.

Effective: April 30, 2026 Last updated: April 30, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using Islamic Ummah, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the Service Provides

Islamic Ummah is an Islamic lifestyle service that may include Quran reading and listening, Hadith and Dua content, prayer and calendar tools, Islamic media playback, image sharing tools, nearby discovery or map features, and related educational, inspirational, and community-supporting features.

Features may change over time. Some features referenced in these terms may apply only when they are available in the current version of the app.

3. Eligibility and Responsible Use

You may use the service only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement or you have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by law. You are responsible for using the service in a lawful, respectful, and non-abusive way.

4. Accounts and Profiles

Account creation is not fully described as a live feature in the current website copy, but it may be added in a future version. If account or profile features become available:

  • you must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current;
  • you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • you may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • you remain responsible for activity occurring through your account; and
  • we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the law, or user safety.

If you later enable sign-in, account deletion should also be available in a way that complies with applicable platform rules and law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, or harmful activity;
  • attempt to interfere with the app, website, servers, APIs, or security measures;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass protections except where law permits it;
  • use the service to distribute malware, spam, or unauthorized commercial solicitations;
  • upload or share material you do not have the right to use; or
  • use the service in a way that could harm Islamic Ummah, other users, or third parties.

6. Religious, Educational, Financial, and Location Disclaimers

Islamic Ummah is intended to support learning, reflection, worship assistance, and daily convenience. It is not a substitute for qualified scholarly advice, legal advice, medical advice, emergency services, or professional financial advice.

  • Prayer times, Hijri dates, Qibla-related or regional outputs may vary by method, authority, or data source.
  • Zakat tools are informational aids only and should be independently reviewed for your circumstances.
  • Nearby discovery, map, business, mosque, restaurant, and event information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
  • Media, news, or third-party content may reflect the views of their original sources, not ours.

You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it for religious, financial, travel, safety, or personal decisions.

7. Third-Party Services

The service may integrate third-party platforms, SDKs, links, APIs, or content, including map providers, analytics tools, app stores, hosting services, and embedded media providers such as YouTube. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not own or directly control.

8. Intellectual Property

The Islamic Ummah app, website, branding, design, software, layout, and compiled service experience are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms.

9. Feedback and User Materials

If you send us feedback, suggestions, support requests, profile content, or other materials, you grant us the rights reasonably necessary to review, process, store, and use those materials for support, improvement, moderation, legal compliance, and operation of the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We may add, remove, pause, restrict, or change features at any time. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Scheduled maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, policy changes, and device compatibility issues may affect availability.

11. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe that you violated these terms, created risk, harmed other users, exposed us to liability, or used the service unlawfully. You may also stop using the service at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Islamic Ummah and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Islamic Ummah and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of another person or entity.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, the website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the service after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, support matters, future account deletion requests, or legal notices should be directed through the contact details that Islamic Ummah publishes on its website, within the app, or on the relevant app store listing.

Before submitting the app to stores with live account creation, publish a working support contact and deletion request path that users can access both inside and outside the app.
